You only have to Notarize something because you have to, not because you want to. Why should you pay more, or use vacation time, or your lunch hour? You 're busy, and your family time is precious.
I am retired U.S. Air Force Veteran. A Notary Public for the state of Nebraska. Courts, lawyers, banks, and offices that provide Notary services are never open on the weekends or evenings, making it difficult to get documents notarized. People work, have families and can't afford to take time off from work to get documents notarized. I Notarize 24/7, for the standard state fee plus mileage.
Fess:
These are determined by the State of Nebraska. I am not allowed by law to charge more, so I dont:
Notary Public Fees: Nebr. Rev. Statute ยง33-133
For taking affidavits and seal: $2.00
For administering oath or affirmation: $2.00
For each certificate and seal: $5.00
For taking acknowledgment of deed
or other instrument: $5.00
For each protest: $1.00
For recording each protest: $2.00
For each notice of protest: $2.00
For each mile traveled in serving notice, mileage at the rate provided in section 81-1176.
Mileage:
The Nebraska Administrative Services mileage rate is $0.54 per mile. This cost is calculated from where I am to where you are. If I am at the grocery store and come to you, I charge from the grocery store to you, not from my house to you. If I am at work, and you are home, I charge from my work to your home.
